Angela Rosado, Bias Test; week 3

Prompt:
What questions, concerns, ideas, or provocations were sparked by the article and the hidden bias test you took?

I took the Sexuality IAT, and while I was taking the test I was so confused what was going on because the test itself seemed like some kind of strange computer game. while clicking between the two keys I was stuck in this trance of association and it wasn't until after I finished the test and got my result that I realized I actually did have reactions when the keys changed their association. It made me think about how although this test may not be 100% accurate for everyone all the time, it does have a way of luring out your subconscious opinions through these mindless impulsive responses.
In a way, and I hate to say this because it seems like this is half of what I say in my metier classes, it reminds me about my training as an actor; it's so based on your first reactions and impulses and really getting rid of the veil of what others want you to say or do and just about getting down to your core impulses and working with them. And, in the end, yes even preferred test results would be helpful to know because if you figure out the way your brain works, and you don't like it, you can start to find a way to change it.

The Bracero monument exposed all of the  work that the people of that time had done in order to make sure that not another person is taken  advantage of again. But truth be told, all of these monuments have come with some sort of backlash.  The bracero monument had gotten criticism for stating that the braceros were free to do what they  wished. From what the article had stated that was not the truth. It was merely one persons  interpretation of what a bracero was, b...
