Andrew moore- week 3- new monuments

On reflection upon reading these articles, they make me feel good. The only problem is that I think this style of monument is a little over played. Do we need another bronze guy in la? Probably, but I bet it could be way more cool and abstract to make a statement. Though I do think it poses a good symbol for all of these cities.

My favorite statue was the african american man riding the horse. Coming from LA and seeing all the braceros in la plaza its really a shift in thought to see someone who is not white or mexican gilded like this. It is a good step but I think they could do away with all reference to these war generals.

Although they dont really affect me like they might some other people who get to actually see them, I think all of these pieces are worthy enough to be funded and put forth. Anything to metaphorically slap the white generals.

From what the article had stated that was not the truth. It was merely one persons  interpretation of what a bracero was, b...
