Alena Delval - Week 5 - Beautiful Trouble

Principles: Brand or Be Branded

Branding is a double edged sword that individuals must navigate throughout their life. While some people can strive to never be "branded" it leaves opportunities for others to take advantage. Each individual should use their own power to brand themselves in a way that betters them and what they support while realising the impact that it has on others.

Tactics: Hoax
In a day and age where fact checking is one of the most complicated tasks to navigate, under no circumstance does a hoax seem beneficial to a society. Mass panic, anger, hysteria does not benefit. Despite living in an age where technology is readily available, we remain monitored and censored regardless of what we think is the truth. Hoax's feed into the populations fears. Even if it was to get debunked for a cause that is deemed beneficial, information is kept hidden and buried.

Theories: Memes

It gets absorbed into the minds and shared with thousands with a simple click of a button. It's interesting to note how the article expresses memes to push for social movements in contrast to how consumers of memes view it as.
